The Tandus workforce from
the Dalton-based campuses came together as a team to raise money for the
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Whitfield County. Leading up to the
May 3 event, employees participated in the campaign to raise money for the
cause with efforts that ranged from selling donuts, auctioning gift baskets and
purchasing raffle tickets for a variety of items from gift cards to an iPad.
The team hosted a tent at the Relay for Life event at the Whitfield County
Fairground where fundraising efforts continued through the night with hopes to
reach the final goal of $35,000. Funds will be collected through August of this
year and will add to the over $80,000 Tandus has raised for this campaign since
2010. Team members from Tandus also walked around the clock during the Relay
for Life 12-hour event to honor and remember those who have fought the disease and
support the American Cancer Society’s efforts.
