More
than 200 employees from Tandus and Centiva joined forces recently to offer
helping hands to assist three locations of the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Greater San Diego (BGCGSD), including the Clairemont, National City and Ron
Roberts Family branches. The Tandus and Centiva workforce of account
executives, designers, manufacturing personnel and management were in San Diego
for an annual conference that included an always much-anticipated day of
community service.
Projects
completed included assembling bicycles that were then donated to the BGCGSD,
refreshing educational and recreation spaces, planting vegetable gardens and
installing Tandus floorcovering.
“We
always look forward to these types of community projects,” said Glen Hussmann,
President of Tandus and Centiva. “It’s very gratifying to set aside a day to
make a difference for these deserving local organizations and to hear that they
are so appreciative and excited about our efforts.”
“Our
site supervisors are still raving about the event and how much it has raised
the appearance and functionality of their respective club buildings,” said
Brandon Horrocks, VP Operations for BGCGSD. “The kids are thrilled with the
positive changes as well and are excited to use the new spaces and gardens your
team provided for them.”
